Not the heroes we thought we needed but the heroes we really needed all along
Those chip bags have air in them because if they didn’t all the chips would end up being crushed by the time they got to you.
don’t be a party pooper
Actually, the amount of “Slack Fill” (that whole pumping things full of air to prevent crushing thing) has been increasing over time, as part of the whole rising food prices thing, though it has been getting out of hand in recent years. So out of hand that, late last year, laws limiting and reducing slack fill allowances began being passed.
It has been called a way of cheating consumers, and the sharp increase in misuse of it has led to some environmental concerns due to both the increased cost of shipping larger, less filled packages (less goods transported on a given ship means more ships overall).
It’s not as bullshit a thing to be concerned by as it may look on the surface.

Fox named “Весна” - Spring in Russian ;-)
When I met and shook hands with President Obama on Friday I introduced myself and said, “my name is Spencer Griffin and I work at collegehumor.com.” He said, “okay, so are you funny?” and I said confidently, “yeah, I’m funny.” And he said, “tell me something funny.” And I blanked. He laughed and said, “yeah, that’s what I thought.” I got roasted by the President of the United States.

The Featured Creature: What to Know If You Are Thinking of Getting a Wolfdog
Wolves are etched in our imagination in truly fantastic and romantic colors. They play a prominent part in the fairytales and stories we have grown up listening to. Despite the presumed familiarity we have with their race, doubts, fears and misconceptions abound.
Wolfdogs are hybrids between wolves and dogs, and the more true they are to their wild ancestors, the more wild they will be. But wildness should not be mistaken for ferociousness. Wolfdogs also require committed veterinary care including vaccine shots and pest control.
Wolfdogs are not good watch or guard dogs because they have an inherent mistrust and a deep-rooted fear of human beings. This also makes it harder to tame them and socialize them.
If you are planning to buy a wolfdog pup and raise it as a family pet, there are several things you need to keep in mind.
It is important you find out all about the breed, but it is even more important you assess yourself and find out whether you are ready to meet all the commitments that wolfdog ownership will demand of you. (check out the full article!)
Shikhandi and Other Stories They Don’t Tell You
Patriarchy asserts men are superior to women, Feminism clarifies women and men are equal, Queerness questions what constitutes male and female.
In his latest book, “Shikhandi and Other Tales They Don’t Tell You”, mythologist Devdutt Pattanaik explores the various stories revolving around queer topics that were a part of ancient Indian history but are seemingly and conveniently forgotten in the current society.
Contrasting the popular belief in present day Indian society, that queerness and the LGBT+ community should be condemned and denounced as they go against the culture, traditions and history of India and are nothing but a Western corruption, Devdutt Pattanaik draws upon various Hindu oral myths as well as sacred texts which narrate tales of homosexual relationships, trans and intersex identities and other MOGII groups amongst not only humans, demigods and spirits but also Gods and Goddesses who constantly challenge the normative stances on gender roles and identities.
